Peer Support Services

Peer Support Specialists have lived experience and know the resources that lead to long term recovery in Fairbanks. At The Bridge we use a peer to peer approach; peers write their own recovery plan and get support to follow through for as long as they need it.

Encampment Outreach

The Bridge is building relationships with individuals living in camps and substandard housing in the Fairbanks North Star Borough. We offer case management and peer support to individuals who are hard to serve and are often in danger due to subzero temperatures, lack of services and illness.

Support Services

In 2019 The Bridge received State Opioid Response funding to start both Peer Support and Supported Employment for adults at risk of or with Opioid Use Disorder. All of our staff were trained in Forensic Peer Support and we use the IPS model of Employment Support.

Individuals releasing from incarceration are at particular risk of opioid overdose and death. Linking individuals pre-release to a treatment plan could save lives.  We accept referrals from DOC, agencies, MAT providers as well as family and friends.

Current funding allows us to expand services to anyone with mental illness, a substance use disorder or a co-occurring disorder. The Bridge staff understands the barriers facing individuals who have been justice involved.  Call today for recovery support services.
